Charging Station
(Last Updated: 01/11/2024)

I have settle in on using 18v Makita battery tools. I currently have about 10 different battery operated Makita 18v tools. I found that I was walking across my shop to charger and/or replace a battery. So I decided to build a compact charging station for my Makita 18v batteries. Since I have two battery chargers, and don't use both at the same time I needed a drawer to keep the extra charger. I also needed a place to hold the charged batteries.

The first attempt failed because the finished "washed out the color of the Walnut, and I mounted the charger too far back which made impossible to load the battery for charging. For the modification, I made a new drawer front, and stained it with Natural Watco, and added a Teak top to move the charger forward.
